Criminal Track Record
5, 7 or 10 Year Criminal Track Record
Includes: Social Security Number Verification and Address Locator Report
While a county criminal record may be the most current and accurate information, if you order it from the wrong county or use the wrong identifying information, you will not get the most accurate results. The Criminal Track Record addresses both issues and is the gold standard when conducting a criminal record search.
Initially, AmericanChecked processes a Social Security Number Verification and an Address Locator Report; the latter tracks where an individual has resided and uncovers all alias names the individual may have used. AmericanChecked sends a court record retrieval specialist or directly accesses the court, if more accurate and timely, to every county the person lived during the timeframe.
The county searches are unlimited, so regardless of the number of alias names the individual has used or the number of counties they have lived in during the time period, AmericanChecked will search the appropriate county court(s).
The Criminal Track Record is the preferred method to conduct a criminal record search because we are relying on objective information found in the Address Locator to indicate where to search rather than conducting the search based on applicant provided information. The Criminal Track Record search gives AmericanChecked the opportunity to search using the right locale and identifiers to potentially uncover criminal activity that otherwise you may not have known to search.
Social Security Number Verification (SSN): Accurate identification information is the hinge around which the rest of the background investigation revolves.
According to industry experts, the fraudulent use of a Social Security Number (SSN) is considered to be one of the most abused pieces of personal information and consumer identity theft is widespread.
The AmericanChecked SSN Track searches the Social Security Administration’s deceased file and fraud alert database, as well as 360 other sources that may turn up items such as whether the SSN was issued by the Social Security Administration (SSA) or fraud alerts have been placed on the SSN. It may indicate that the SSN is likely to belong to a deceased person and, therefore, not the individual screened. Results may require an alternative method to verify that the SSN matches the subject.
The Track should not be used to deny employment or any other adverse action. It should be used as a resource for confirming identity. Other tools are available from AmericanChecked such as the Consent Based Social Security Number Verification (CBSV).CBSV provides absolute validation of the following personal identifiers: full name, social security number, date of birth and death indicator. This product can be used for both pre- and post-hire screening and matches the name to the number.
Address Locator Report: A key to obtaining information is knowing where to look.
The AmericanChecked Address Locator Report is considered industry-standard and contains more than 360 sources that are consulted when performing this electronic search. Resources such as credit headers, the post office, utility bills, magazine subscriptions, UPS/Fed Ex billings, etc., are consulted. This product provides up-to-date name/address data to help confirm applicant-provided information. The locator report should not be used to determine license or employment eligibility. Rather, it is used as a tool to determine where to search.
